🌸 The Garden of Secrets – A Lesson on Sexual Purity for Every Young Nigerian Child
At Catch Them Young Bible Club (CTYBC), we are passionate about teaching God’s truth in a way that makes sense to children, adolescents and teens. One of the lessons close to our hearts is sexual purity—not just as a rule, but as a precious responsibility from God. Let’s take a trip to a little Nigerian town called Bethel Village, where a young girl asked a question many of our children are quietly wondering about.
PARENTING

In Bethel Village, where goats bleat in the morning and mamas sell puff-puff on the roadside, lived Debby, a 12-year-old girl who loved helping her mummy water the flowers and boil yam for Sunday rice.
One sunny morning, as she helped her mother in the compound, she asked,
“Mummy, why do some of my friends say they have boyfriends and do things they hide from adults?”
Her mum smiled and sat on the small wooden stool under the mango tree.
“Come, Debby,” she said. “Let me tell you a story your grandma told me. A story about a prince and a garden.”
The Tale of Prince Zach’s Garden
In a nearby town, a young prince named Zach was given a beautiful garden by his father, the king.
“This garden is precious,” the king said.
“Guard it well. One day, I will send someone who deserves to walk in it with you.”
At first, Zach obeyed. He kept his garden clean and bright. But one day, his friends from the village said,
“Ah-ah, Zach, allow people to visit now. Are you forming holy-holy?”
Zach gave in.
Soon, the garden was trampled. Some came and plucked the best flowers. Others left strange seeds. The beauty faded.
Zach wept and ran to his father.
“Daddy, I messed up. I didn’t guard the garden.”
The king hugged him.
“You’re still my son. I can help you start again. But this time, learn to say no and trust me.”
Zach did. And though it took time, the garden began to grow again—stronger and more beautiful than before.
Debby’s Eyes Opened
Debby looked up at her mum, her eyes wide.
“So, mummy, our bodies are like that garden?”
“Exactly,” her mother smiled.
“God gave you your body to keep pure, to protect, and to prepare for His purpose. Don’t let anyone trample on it.”
đź“– What the Bible Says:
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Your body is God’s temple. Honor Him with it.
Proverbs 4:23 – Guard your heart—it controls your life.
2 Timothy 2:22 – Run away from things that tempt you.
Matthew 5:8 – Only the pure in heart will see God.
📝 CTYBC Takeaway Lessons for Our Nigerian Children & Teens:
Your body is not for experiments. It belongs to God.
Saying “NO” is a sign of wisdom, not weakness.
God forgives and restores. Even if mistakes have been made.
There is power in waiting for the right time.
Don’t follow the crowd. Stand out for God.
At CTYBC, we are raising a generation of children and teens who understand that purity is not old-school—it’s God’s design.
Let’s keep watering these young gardens with truth, love, and light.
